Xinhua news agency, Baghdad, January (reporter Zhang Miao) Iraqi health ministry announced on 19 March that it approved the use of two vaccines produced in China and the United Kingdom in Iraq to respond to COVID-19 in 19.
Iraq’s Ministry of Health said in a statement on the same day that Iraq’s national drug screening Bureau approved the emergency use of two new crown vaccines, namely, the new crown vaccine produced by China National Pharmaceutical Group and the new crown vaccine jointly developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca.
Iraqi health minister Hassan & middot; tamimi said at the meeting of Iraq’s national drug screening agency on the same day that the Iraqi Ministry of health has made preparations to receive the new coronal vaccine and determined the priority population for vaccination.
Saif middot Bader, a spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of health, told Xinhua that the Chinese vaccine met the scientific standards set by Iraq’s state drug screening administration, so Iraq approved the emergency use of the new crown vaccine produced by China National Pharmaceutical Group in Iraq.
Previously, the health department of Iraq has approved the emergency use of the new coronal vaccine jointly developed by Pfizer Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of the United States and new biotechnology company of Germany in Iraq.
According to the Ministry of health of Iraq on the 19th, 823 new confirmed cases were added in Iraq on the same day, with a total of 609852 confirmed cases; 9 new deaths were added, with a total of 12962 deaths; and 573011 cured cases.
