The second batch of China’s new crown vaccine arrived in Chile

Santiago, January 31 (Xinhua) the second batch of new coronavirus vaccines produced by China Kexing company arrived at the international airport of Santiago, Chile, on January 31. Chilean health ministry and foreign ministry officials went to the airport to welcome the vaccine.

Chile’s Deputy Minister of health dasa said at a news conference held at the airport that nearly 4 million doses of Chinese vaccine, which arrived in Chile in two batches on January 28 and 31, will help Chile to launch the nationwide mass vaccination on February 3. At present, vaccines are being distributed to all parts of Chile and will be implemented according to the risk level of COVID-19.

The Chilean Institute of Public Health announced on January 20 that it will grant an emergency license for the use of the new crown vaccine produced by China’s Kexing company.

It is reported that the Chilean government plans to use three vaccines, including China’s Kexing vaccine, to vaccinate 5 million people in the first quarter of this year and 15 million people in the first half of this year.
