Xinhua news agency, Accra, January, 31 (reporter Xu Zheng) Garner President Al curf Addo announced on the 31 night that the country would ban public gatherings such as weddings, concerts and gatherings to contain COVID-19. In a televised speech, Akufo Addo said that public places such as beaches, nightclubs, cinemas and bars will remain closed; restaurants should try their best to avoid eating in class and encourage the provision of takeout services; office staff should implement the “shift system” and encourage the use of online conference system. Akufo Addo said that at present, there are about 700 new confirmed cases in a single day in Ghana, and hospitals are overcrowded, so we have to tighten epidemic prevention and control measures. According to the official data released by Ghana, as of the 31st, there were 67010 newly diagnosed cases and 416 deaths in Ghana.
