Modner Corp. of the U.S. is applying to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for approval to increase the dose of each bottle of new coronal vaccine by five doses to ease the strain of vaccine production, the media reported.
According to the report, Modena said that “more doses of vaccine are planned to be added to the vial, from the current 10 doses to 15 doses.” the company said that further discussions with FDA are needed before implementation.
Stephen Hodge, President of Modena, which currently produces nearly one million doses a day, said adding an extra dose to each bottle would help solve the problem of vaccine capacity constraints.
