On the 22nd local time, British Prime Minister Johnson said that the new crown variant virus recently appeared in the UK may be more lethal.

Johnson said at the government’s epidemic information conference on the 22nd that the recently discovered mutant strains in London and the southeast of the UK “in addition to spreading faster, there is now research evidence that it may be related to the higher mortality rate at present.”.

Patrick Vallance, the British government’s chief scientific adviser, stressed at the press conference that “there are many uncertainties in the number of studies on the lethality of the new crown mutant strain, and we need to do more to deal with it accurately.”.
